New Mobile Enhancements for Correspondence Workflows

Introducing the latest enhancements to the Correspondence Workflow on Procore's mobile platform. These updates are designed to streamline communication and collaboration by enabling mobile users to create new Correspondence Items that have a workflow applied. With these enhancements, users can ensure timely responses and maintain project momentum, leading to more successful project outcomes.

Correspondence Workflow for mobile enables field teams to easily create correspondence items with workflows applied. Once a company admin creates a workflow template at the company level, correspondence items can be routed through an approval workflow to streamline formal project communications and enforce contractual obligations. This update addresses over 100 User Voice votes and empowers construction teams to efficiently manage Correspondence Workflow Items from anywhere.  Key capabilities include:

  • Create Correspondence Items: Mobile users now have the capability to create new Correspondence Items that have a workflow applied.  

Correspondence items have the following differences when a workflow is assigned, and the item is issued:  

  • ‘Status’: Read-only field that auto-populates with information from the workflow.

  • ‘Due Date’: Read-only field that auto-populates with dates determined by the workflow and has a name change to 'Current Step Due Date.'

  • ‘Assignees’: Read-only field that auto-populates with the user assigned to the current step as determined by the workflow. The field's name changes to 'Current Step Assignee,' but the 'Assignees' field remains a reportable, single field listing all assignees across the workflow. 

  • ‘Distribution Member’: Any distribution members in the workflow template automatically populate here and cannot be removed once the workflow initiates. Additional members can be added using the Procore web application, but only distribution members in the workflow template receive notifications. 

  • ‘Create & Issue’: Tapping this button automatically starts the workflow process for the item. Or the item can be saved as a draft.
