Smarter Assignment Defaults in Resource Planning

Beta Update coming April 9. The Assignment tearsheet in Resource Planning now intelligently pre-fills new assignments with key project schedule details, streamlining the staffing process for schedulers, project managers, and resource coordinators. When opening the tearsheet, the system automatically loads the project’s start and end dates, as well as daily start and end times, reducing manual entry and minimizing errors. The Start Date defaults to the project’s start date if it’s in the future, or to today if the project has already begun. All defaulted values remain fully editable, ensuring flexibility while keeping assignments aligned with the project calendar. This update applies across Resource (beta) Gantt and Boards (beta) views, with each respecting their unique configuration for date defaults. Importantly, assignments created via drag-to-create on the Gantt Resource view retain their workflow-specific values, ensuring no disruption to established processes.

Stronger Alerts: 1,200-Character Limit Enforced

The Alerts form in Resource Planning now enforces a maximum message length of 1,200 characters (excluding dynamic tokens). Previously, users received a warning at 1,500 characters but could still submit longer messages. With this update, users are prevented from typing beyond the 1,200-character limit. This change is designed for Project Managers and Resource Managers who use Alerts to send SMS or email notifications to resources. By enforcing this limit, we help ensure that messages—including those expanded by dynamic tokens—are reliably delivered across all supported carrier networks, reducing the risk of SMS delivery failures due to carrier restrictions. This update enhances the dependability of your communications, so your alerts always reach the right people, every time.

Star Conversations for Instant Access

Launching April 21. Procore now makes it easier to stay on top of your most important project discussions with the new "Starring" feature in Conversations. Users can now star any Direct Message, Group Conversation, or Item Conversation, instantly pinning high-priority threads to the top of their Conversations hub. Automated Office Sync for Lien Waivers

Launching April 21. Procore Pay now streamlines lien waiver management for companies operating under multiple DBAs within a single Procore instance. With this update, a project’s Procore Office—specifically the “Division Visible on PDF” field—will automatically sync to Levelset, Procore Pay’s document engine for lien waivers. This enhancement replaces the previous manual workaround, which required users to copy over DBA names and was prone to human error, lacked scalability, and did not dynamically update new office locations. Now, when office details are updated at the company level, those changes will automatically reflect on future lien waivers, ensuring accuracy and reducing administrative overhead. This improvement is especially valuable for general contractors managing multiple business entities, as it guarantees the correct DBA name appears on all project lien waivers without manual intervention. By automating this process, Procore Pay supports your business growth and operational efficiency, making lien waiver management more reliable and scalable.
