Find the Right Workflow Template Faster with a Dedicated Tool Type Column
Launching May 19. The Workflow Template Management page now includes a dedicated Type column, separating tool type information that was previously combined with another field. This clearer view helps teams managing workflows across Incidents, RFIs, Submittals and other tools quickly identify and organize templates by their assigned tool — saving time during setup and reducing the chance of applying a workflow to the wrong tool.

Early Access in Procore Explore for Eligible Programs
Launching May 19. Procore Explore now offers a new Early Access lifecycle stage that gives customers the ability to test and prepare for GA-quality enhancements sooner—with less administrative overhead. Company Admins will see a new Early Access status pill on eligible programs and in the feature detail panel, plus a new Early Access option in the global filter to quickly find what’s available. For smaller improvements and enhancements, we've made enrollment even simpler. Instead of opting into each update individually, your organization can join a single Early Access program for a product area. New features are added throughout the quarter and automatically available to your team — no additional sign-ups required. By the time GA day arrives, your team has already seen what's coming, updated your SOPs, and trained the people who need it most.

Create Resource Requests on Mobile
Beta update beginning May 19. Procore’s Workforce Planning tool now allows you to create resource requests—including both labor and equipment—directly from the Procore mobile app on iOS and Android. This update streamlines your workflow by eliminating the need for the legacy mobile app, ensuring all resource planning tasks can be managed in one place. By migrating these capabilities into the main Procore app, teams can respond faster to project needs, reduce app switching, and keep resource management up to date from anywhere.

Auto-Apply Metadata for Revisions
Launching May 19. When uploading a new revision in Procore Document Management (PDM) from the Uploads tab, Procore can now automatically pre-populate metadata from the latest revision of the matching document container—whether the match happens automatically or you manually select the container. You’ll see a clear visual indicator showing which fields were updated, and you can adjust any inherited values before submitting. Upload-specific fields (such as Date Uploaded or Status) are excluded from this inheritance so only relevant, repeatable metadata carries forward.

View Filled Placeholders in Document Viewer
Launching May 19. The Document Viewer now supports placeholders, making it easier to track placeholder activity alongside standard document history. When a placeholder already has a file uploaded, users can open it in the Viewer to review the file and see its history; empty placeholders still can’t be opened. The Viewer experience is read-only for placeholders—users can view the placeholder and its history, but can’t edit placeholder metadata there. Change History is also expanded to capture key placeholder lifecycle events, including placeholder created, placeholder updated, file uploaded into placeholder, and file removed from placeholder. Once a file is uploaded, the same history continues seamlessly as the placeholder transitions into the normal document history flow—improving traceability, reducing confusion during handoffs and reviews, and maintaining a clearer audit trail as placeholders evolve into submitted documents.

The New Locations Tool is Now in Beta
The Beta will begin May 19. The new Locations Tool brings full spatial management out of the backend settings and directly into a dedicated, permission-controlled project tool. This web-based hub allows users to create, edit, delete, and search for locations using an improved hierarchical list or tree view. Going beyond simple text tags, the tool lets you define your project locations as physical features on an interactive map using points, paths, or polygons. It also includes powerful time-saving features like bulk-importing locations (via CSV or the BIM Revit Plugin), exporting to CSV, and generating printable QR codes for the field.
