October General Enhancements for Platform

What it is: A set of Workflows updates built to keep approvals moving and every decision accountable. Step Override arrives on both web and mobile, letting authorized users advance a stalled workflow with a required reason and a fully attributed history entry. New granular permissions let admins designate exactly who can return a workflow to a prior step or restart it — without granting the full Workflow Manager role. And two upgrade-path updates round it out: respond to existing legacy workflows directly in the new Workflows side panel, and upgrade a tool to New Workflows yourself, on your own timeline, with a built-in readiness check. Who it's for: Workflow admins and company or project admins who manage approval processes — and the project teams in the office and the field who respond to workflows every day.

What it is: Procore Explore program pages now include an Updates feed. Each entry gives you the date, what kind of update it is — new feature, fix, or status change — and a plain-language description of what changed. Newest updates appear first, and an unread indicator shows when there's something you haven't seen. Who it's for: Customers participating in beta programs through Procore Explore. Why it matters: Beta programs evolve quickly — and when you don't know what's changed, your team can end up working around a bug that's already fixed or missing a feature you asked for. The Updates feed gives every program a running, plain-language changelog, so teams always know what's new, what's fixed, and what's changed status without waiting for an email. What it is: A redesigned Permissions experience, now in open beta. The updated interface makes it faster and more intuitive to set up permission templates and manage granular permissions — so admins can control exactly who sees and does what across their projects. Who it's for: Company and project admins who manage permission templates and granular permissions. Why it matters: When permissions are hard to configure, admins lose time to setup and teams risk working with the wrong level of access. A clearer, simpler Permissions experience means less time managing access and more confidence that every team member can see and do exactly what their role requires. Getting started in the new experience now means your team benefits from simpler permissions management today — and you'll be ready to take advantage of advanced permissions capabilities as they roll out. What it is: Three enhancements to the My Open Items page: grouping by any attribute in the table (company, project, item type, and more) under collapsible headers; two new filters — project number and due date range; and saved views that preserve a configured combination of filters, grouping, and sorting for one-click recall. Who it's for: Anyone working across multiple projects or companies who uses My Open Items as their cross-account to-do list. Why it matters: A flat list of every open item across projects gets unwieldy fast. Grouping and filtering let users structure the list the way they work — by project, by due date, by item type — and saved views mean that structure is set up once, not rebuilt every morning. How to get started: Available within the My Open Items workspace, configure your grouping and filters, and save the view. Available October 13, 2026

What it is: A new On the Clock view in Project Timesheets on web: a real-time list of every worker currently clocked in on the project. Who it's for: Superintendents and project managers responsible for knowing who's on site. Why it matters: Manual time entry methods have made it very difficult to know who actually showed up on a given day, leaving supervisors without real-time visibility of who is actively working on a job— verifying attendance meant manual check-ins, and a site emergency meant no fast, accurate headcount. A live roster provides instant situational awareness, early visibility into accumulating hours, and a faster emergency headcount when it matters most. How to get started: Available as an open beta. What it is: An update to the Company Time Entry open beta: a new summary grid view where users can add, update, and delete time entries. Company Time Entry lets employees who work across multiple projects log hours centrally — respecting each project's custom and configurable fields — with view, update, duplicate, and copy-from-previous-week options for faster entry. Who it's for: Payroll teams and employees who split time across projects and enter or manage it at the company level. Why it matters: Entering time project by project is slow and error-prone for people who move between jobs all week. Central entry with a grid-based summary makes logging and correcting a full week's time across projects fast — improving accuracy for payroll and compliance. What it is: Automated project tracking for equipment. When telematics-enabled equipment enters or leaves a project boundary defined in the Locations tool, it's automatically marked on site or off site — no manual action. Who it's for: Fleet managers and equipment coordinators tracking machines across active projects. Why it matters: Manual on-site/off-site tracking lags reality and gets skipped on busy days, so equipment location data drifts. Geofence-driven tracking makes it fully automatic and accurate — the fleet picture reflects where machines actually are. How to get started: Available as an open beta. Opt in through Procore Explore, configure geofences for your projects, and enable automated tracking on your telematics-connected equipment. Available October 13, 2026

What it is: Equipment joins the Crews tool on web and mobile. Teams can align equipment and labor on a single crew, and equipment on a crew is easily selected when entering time on timesheets. Who it's for: Self-perform contractors and field supervisors who manage crews and enter time daily. Why it matters: Labor and the equipment it operates are managed together in the field, but they've been separate in time entry. Crews that include both make time entry faster and more intuitive — and keep labor and equipment data aligned for costing. How to get started: Add equipment to a crew in the Crews tool, then select it during timesheet entry. Available October 13, 2026
