Assets–BIM Integration Is Now in Open Beta (North America)

BetaJul 1, 2026

What it is: If your project uses BIM, you can now pull asset data straight from your 3D model files (like .rvt and .ifc) into the Asset Register, which is also now generally available. A new BIM view in the Assets tool lets you pick a processed model, search it by property to find the objects you want, map them to your standard Asset Types, and import them in bulk. Each imported asset stays linked to its source model object, so you can click an asset and zoom right to it in the built-in 3D viewer. Who it's for: BIM and asset teams in NAMER building an Asset Register on projects that already run on 3D models, along with the owners, general contractors, and specialty trades who rely on verified records of what was installed.

Why it matters: Getting model data into your Asset Register has meant recreating each record by hand, which is slow, easy to get wrong, and leaves no connection between an asset record and the model object it came from. The Assets–BIM Integration lets you capture that data in the flow of work instead. You extract assets from the model your team already built, connect them to the submittals and inspections that verify them, and link between each asset and its source object as the project progresses. The result is a clean, centralized asset record built during construction rather than reconstructed after it, helping to reduce manual re-entry and gives your teams a verified history for every installed asset.

How to get started: Talk to your account team to enroll in the NAMER Open Beta. This integration is GA in UKI region only.
