Drew Oswald, Group Product Manager for Preconstruction at Procore, and Michael Ho, Founder and CEO of Bespoke Metrics, talk about why we chose to partner and what it means for your team.
Before you award work, you need absolute certainty that trade partners can actually deliver. Traditionally, the evidence sits scattered across several places: an insurance certificate buried in an email, financials locked in a spreadsheet, or a safety form submitted months ago. Manually pulling this data together drains valuable time, and a single missed detail can introduce severe risk to your project and reputation.
This is why we are excited to share that Procore has named COMPASS by Bespoke Metrics its preferred subcontractor prequalification solution. The expanded partnership launches Prequal for All, which makes COMPASS prequalification available to every general contractor and subcontractor working in Procore.
“Bespoke Metrics has been a strategic Procore partner for a long time, and we’ve seen how much sound prequalification and risk management matter to our industry and the customers we serve. At this point, everyone knows we need more efficiency and proper risk management in construction. With critical COMPASS data embedded in Procore workflows, our customers have one place to see subcontractor risk where and when they need it. I’m excited to expand our partnership with this announcement, and the launch of Bespoke Metrics’ Agentic integration at Groundbreak 2026.” said Jeremy Chasen, Director, Strategic Partnerships at Procore. What COMPASS brings to your team
See where each sub stands. COMPASS analyzes each subcontractor's financial, safety, insurance, and operational information and produces the COMPASS Q Score (the Construction Credit Score) with recommended prequalification outcomes.
Apply your own standards. Risk teams set standards and review exceptions in COMPASS.
Decide where you already work. Project teams see the results in Procore, where work is bid and awarded.
Spend less time chasing forms. Subcontractors complete one standardized profile, keep it current, and share it with any general contractor they choose. They join more than 150,000 subcontractors already on COMPASS.
This is for you if your team spends weeks qualifying subs, chases forms that don't come back, or keeps prequalification data apart from your bid and award decisions.
“Lenders don’t lend without a credit score. Yet construction still qualifies most of its trade partners with a stack of forms. Making COMPASS the preferred prequalification solution inside Procore puts an independent risk rating at the center of how contractors choose who they build with. That’s good for general contractors, and even better for the subcontractors who earn it.”
Michael Ho — Founder and CEO, Bespoke Metrics
Risk intelligence travels. Sensitive data does not.
Subcontractors control which general contractors can see their COMPASS profile, and their financial statements stay in COMPASS. What reaches Procore is the result: the Q Score and prequalification outcomes.
What's next
COMPASS is one of the first partners connected to Procore through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the emerging standard for how AI systems share information. Bespoke Metrics and Procore are building on that connection with agentic AI prequalification, starting with a COMPASS Risk Agent expected later this year. From bid to award, the agent is designed to help project teams see where every subcontractor stands without leaving Procore. People still make the decisions. The agent gives them the intelligence to make them.
Timeline and what it means for current customers
Procore will not continue to enhance Procore Prequalification, and the tool will sunset on March 31, 2027. Procore will contact impacted customers directly with next steps.
If your team uses Procore Prequalification today, moving to COMPASS before March 31 allows you to set up before spring bidding. Sign up with COMPASS by December 31, 2026, and COMPASS will waive fees until 2028.
Meet us at Groundbreak
Come see the COMPASS team at booth 1012 on October 21 and 22. On Thursday, October 22, COMPASS is hosting a morning event with NHG, an SDI broker, right across the street from Groundbreak. Beauchamp Construction will share how it uses COMPASS to meet its subcontractor default insurance (SDI) requirements. It's a good fit if your company manages or applies to an SDI program and wants to hear from a peer. Members of the Procore team will be there too.
