Your Past Projects Are The Best Consultant You Can Hire

Details

Session #2 tackles a costly habit: treating finished projects as closed files instead of a source of insight for what's next. This session addresses the Strategic Readiness pillar by exploring how historical project data (scope changes, design iterations, supply chain delays) can inform better decisions on active and upcoming projects. The core insight is that most organizations treat completed projects as closed files rather than living institutional knowledge.

What you'll learn...

• Why finished projects are your most under-used asset — how scope changes, design iterations, and supply chain delays from past work can inform better decisions today, if the knowledge isn't lost.

• How to run the "empty chair" exercise — a practical technique for surfacing what your last five projects would warn you not to repeat, and testing whether your team can answer with data.

• How to move from Hero Trap to strategic readiness — shift from knowledge trapped in a few experienced people to a system that turns your delivery history into predictive insight.
