SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug. 1, 2012 — In support of the local Santa Barbara community, cloud-based construction management software company Procore Technologies, Inc. recently supported the South Coast Business and Technology Awards. These awards provide needed financial scholarship assistance to deserving students at local colleges and universities who are majoring in business and technology-related fields.
Procore draws from the population of high caliber graduates from Santa Barbara-area colleges and universities to staff its internship programs and as new hires. Procore chose to support this charity as a means to give back to the local community and to ensure that deserving and talented students from Santa Barbara institutions are able to get the education they desire, regardless of their financial ability to attend college.
"It is a win-win situation anytime we can help the local business and technology community," said Procore CEO Craig "Tooey" Courtemanche. "Procore owes its success to the quality of our people, and the majority of our employees are graduates of Santa Barbara's colleges and universities. These scholarships ensure opportunities are available to the best and brightest Santa Barbara has to offer."
Each year, the South Coast Business and Technology Awards event offers recognition to local business leaders and provides support for The Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara. Since its inception, the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara has awarded more than 530 scholarship awards totaling more than $1.2 million to local students majoring in business or technology related fields at Santa Barbara City College, UC Santa Barbara and Westmont College.
Procore's construction project management tools consist of several user-friendly applications including Contract and Change Order Management, RFI Creation and Tracking, Daily Log Management, Project Scheduling, Document Management, Project Bidding, Construction Project Scheduling, Punch List Status Tracking, Photo Archiving and Project Submittal Management. With these tools, clients can manage contracts, create accurate schedules, schedule meetings, store documents, close RFIs faster, track project correspondence, monitor insurance coverage, track hours worked, collect and track bids, and organize submittals.
