CARPINTERIA, Calif., May 26, 2015 — Procore Technologies, Inc., the world's number one most widely used construction management software, launches its corporate philanthropy program, Procore Cares, to increase civic sustainability and give back to the Santa Barbara community Procore is proud to call home.
"Procore's culture is rooted in giving back, so Procore Cares is merely an extension of our values to our community," stated Procore CEO, Tooey Courtemanche.
For its inaugural event, Procore and the Pacific, Procore has partnered with Santa Barbara Channelkeeper for a beach cleanup. In the spirit of team building and community service, Procore employees will descend on Santa Barbara's expansive East Beach on Friday, June 5, 2015 to help preserve our coastal and inland resources.
"Channelkeeper is thrilled to partner with Procore Technologies on a beach cleanup in Santa Barbara. It's great to see local businesses giving back to the community and beach cleanups like these are great opportunities to learn about important issues affecting the environment, and to be part of the solution," said Channelkeeper Education and Community Outreach Director, Penny Owens.
Unfortunately, the litter we see contaminating the beaches and floating on the ocean's surface is just the tip of the iceberg. Much more destructive waste lies unseen beneath the surface and far away on the open water—but this doesn't make it any less important. That's why Procore is taking action, working to stop the flow of trash at the source, before it has a chance endanger our marine life.
"We feel so blessed to be able to live and work in the American Riviera. We want to be proactive and contribute to Santa Barbara's beauty, sustainability, and longevity," said Procore employees, Andrew Antone and Marissa Nybakken, co-chairs of the Procore Cares initiative.
