DroneDeploy Launches Ground Pro, Bringing Measurable 3D Records Into Procore

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. September 22, 2026 — DroneDeploy, the robotics and visual intelligence platform used on over 3 million sites, today announced the general availability of Ground Pro, the advanced 3D capability layer within DroneDeploy Ground built for the superintendents and site managers who run the projects every day.

Construction drawings describe the finished building, but rarely reflect the floor a superintendent is standing on today, where materials are getting staged or where small details disappear behind finishes. DroneDeploy’s Ground Pro gives field teams a current, measurable record of those conditions using mobile devices they already carry. It expands the field from 2D photos to 3D visuals they can capture, measure and share in one unified platform. 

The launch follows Procore’s recently completed acquisition of DroneDeploy. Integrating DroneDeploy's multi-modal reality capture – spanning drones, ground robots, and cameras – with Procore’s AI-powered construction management platform, site managers can access a richer picture of the jobsite than ever before possible. Ground Pro will make jobsite reality measurable, accessible, and actionable within Procore, advancing construction’s system of intelligence with an unmatched ability to perceive site conditions, reason through them and act on what's next.

Customers like Steele & Freeman use Ground Pro to scan work before it gets covered up, so it can answer questions about a job long after the crew has left.

Another leading contractor KAST Construction uses Ground Pro to plan interior work on its mid- and high-rise projects, where a single level can hold several trades at once.

What is Ground Pro?

Ground Pro is a premium add-on to DroneDeploy Ground. It turns everyday captures into measurable, verifiable 3D records – whether the work is indoors, outdoors or underground – using the iPhone, iPad or 360 camera field teams already carry. For Procore customers, this 3D data will greatly expand the power of Procore AI.

Ground Pro adds three powerful new capabilities: 

• Interior Maps produce a plan view of current floor and ceiling conditions, so teams can sequence trades, review material laydown and confirm overhead work in place, building lookaheads from what is on the floor rather than a plan set that has moved on. For Procore customers, drawings synced with DroneDeploy can be overlaid on the floor and ceiling maps to verify today's site conditions against the design.

• Mobile 3D Scan (with optional RTK) documents trenches, in-slab sleeves and facade patches in the time it takes to snap a photo, fast enough to run before backfill and durable enough to settle a question about buried work months later.

• 3D Measure & Navigation reconstructs the 360 walks teams already capture into a navigable, measurable 3D mesh, so a superintendent can verify blocking, door widths and casework clearances after the walls close, and move through atriums and large interiors with a dollhouse view, without sending anyone back to site. 

Together, these new capabilities help teams get faster documentation, fewer disputes, and a single clear picture shared from the field to the office.
