Multiple prime contract
A project delivery method where multiple contractors of various disciplines contract directly with a project owner or the owner's construction manager to complete specific elements of work.
Multiple prime contracts involve the owner entering into separate contracts with different contractors for various portions of the project. This approach allows for greater control over the scheduling and coordination of work, potentially reducing costs and increasing competitive bidding, but requires strong management and oversight.
