Traugott Maintains Momentum by Leveraging Project Data

Traugott maintained existing tracking and document processing up to a level where we recognized we needed our processes to advance to the same level as our projects and volume.

The Solution

Procore provides real time data on active projects. Given our geographic spread, it aids project and management teams to maintain stringent oversight and control over project KPIs. Commonality in the system also allows for the free movement of staff across the country so we can place the right people and experience on projects, no matter the location.

It’s all about the relationships

When Traugott approaches a new project, it’s about helping owners achieve their goals.

Traugott’s data and project management had grown with the company, too. "Procore has allowed us to abandon old systems that were too onerous to maintain and step firmly into a current, relevant management system of coordinated policies and procedures," said Alex Burgess, Vice-President of Construction, Western Canada.

Procore has allowed us to migrate operationally to a singular platform. In doing so, we have reduced the number of points of data entry, improved efficiency and mitigated errors.

"Procore centralised and standardised the way we package and store project information," Burgess said. Not only that, it has reduced the data entry workload. "It’s improved our competitiveness in the market because we can be leaner, and focus on our client.

Burgess continues to say, "Back when I was a coordinator, you would process a shop drawing, then you would send it to the client, then you’d update the log. Now, with Procore, that log update is automatic. If there are three or four coordinators working simultaneously on project details, the logs are updated in real time, and alerts all members of each update as it occurs. That log is pretty central to what we do with demonstrating a level of transparency and depth of attention to detail to ensure that our client is fully informed with respect to their project."

Applying the knowledge

Data is now all in one place, where it can be reviewed to solve legacy issues on past projects, to compare them to upcoming projects, to make well-informed decisions, and share specific experiences with clients to aid their decision-making. "It’s a system we’re growing with on a daily and annual basis. It becomes more and more beneficial the more we use it," Silk said.
