Streamlined History Panel Filtering for Workflows

Launching April 21st. Procore is introducing enhanced filtering capabilities to the History side panel across all workflow-supported tools. This update brings a new “Filters” dropdown, allowing users to quickly focus on the most relevant activity by expanding only Comments and Attachments in real time. For added control, company administrators can now set default filter preferences for each tool, ensuring teams always start with the most actionable view—such as “Comments Only”—tailored to their needs.

Behind the scenes, activity events are now intelligently categorized as Comments, Attachments, or Other, making it easier to find the information that matters most. These improvements help reduce noise from automated system events, so project members can quickly locate human-centric context and supporting files without unnecessary clicks.

Permissions and data visibility remain unchanged, and all activity continues to be recorded for audit purposes. User filter selections reset to the company default with each new session, ensuring a consistent experience for everyone.
