Notice of completion (NOC)

A document issued by the project owner indicating that all construction work is completed, triggering the end of the contractor's lien period.

A Notice of Completion is a formal declaration that a construction project is finished, triggering final payments, warranty periods, and the release of retainage, and protecting against lien claims.
