Low bidder
An individual or organization that is identified as the party submitting the lowest bid in a bid document, response to a proposal, or contract. Can be a general contractor, subcontractor, or specialty contractor.
The low bidder is the contractor who submits the lowest price for completing a project, provided they meet all the qualifications and requirements. Selecting the low bidder can offer cost savings but must be balanced with considerations of quality, experience, and reliability.
