Invitation to bid

A formal invitation to submit a bid for a project, often used interchangeably with Invitation for Bid (IFB).

An invitation to bid is a document inviting contractors or suppliers to submit a proposal for a specific project. It marks the start of the bidding process, containing project specifications and requirements necessary for preparing a competitive bid.
