Architect field report
A field-site report produced to keep an owner apprised of construction progress and work quality.
Architect field reports document observations made during site visits, ensuring that construction aligns with the design and specifications. These reports help in identifying issues early and maintaining quality control. An AFR is issued after each field visit and acts as a record of a construction project's progress, job site decisions, and concerns. While the general contents of an AFR have been defined by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), architects may also include additional information to ensure a concise record of field visits.
