bim für das Baumanagement

Building Information Modelling (BIM) software for construction goes beyond traditional 3D CAD designs to centralise geometric, structural, and asset data across a project lifecycle. Instead of keeping models isolated within design offices, modern construction BIM software streams cloud-rendered models directly to site teams on standard tablets and mobile devices. This connects critical asset information with daily site workflows like site diaries, variations, and snag lists. Main contractors utilise this visibility to gain total project control, help reduce installation friction, and support a verifiable information trail from initial tender through to final handover.

BIM software helps mitigate expensive on-site rework by enabling browser-based multi-disciplinary federation and collaborative coordination before construction work begins. By combining architectural, structural, and M&E designs into a unified browser interface, coordination teams can utilise targeted clash detection to identify clashes early, such as service pipework clashing with structural steel frames. Procore integrates this coordination phase with standard site processes by utilising a dedicated Navisworks plugin. This allows coordinators to group identified conflicts and push them directly into the platform as trackable coordination issues assigned to specific subcontractors. Resolving these spatial conflicts digitally helps protect your schedules, maintain margin protection, and keep the project programme on track.

Procore provides the digital infrastructure to capture and maintain a clear Golden Thread of information throughout the construction lifecycle, helping businesses support compliance with the rigorous standards of the Building Safety Act. By anchoring quality inspections, structural variations, material sign-offs, and snag lists directly to 3D model objects, the platform builds a verifiable history of the asset. This model-first approach allows main contractors to capture critical safety and structural updates transparently during production, rather than during a frantic handover phase. This collaborative environment maximises risk protection and provides owners with a data-rich model to support safe operational and maintenance throughout the building lifecycle.

Yes. Procore addresses site connectivity challenges through high-performance, cloud-rendered streaming combined with local mobile device caching. Site teams do not require specialised desktop workstations or a constant internet connection to reference complex design files. Operatives can navigate massive, gigabyte-scale models on standard tablets and smartphones utilising responsive, mobile-ready IFC viewers that feature site-ready joystick controls and clear 2D-to-3D mini-maps. By caching specific project views before entering low-connectivity zones like deep basements or heavily shielded plant rooms, engineers and subcontractors can verify installation locations, check penetrations, and update progress data offline.
