Self-performing contractor
A contractor who is hired to complete all or a portion of the work on a project and uses their own direct employees to complete that work, instead of hiring subcontractors.
A self-performing contractor completes significant portions of the work with their own labor force, rather than subcontracting. This approach can lead to better control over quality, schedule, and costs, but requires sufficient internal resources and expertise.
