GivePower

GivePower provides clean drinking water to communities worldwide using solar-powered desalination systems. Sustainable technology enables GivePower to bring reliable and cost-effective solutions to areas where clean water is scarce or contaminated, helping to reduce waterborne illnesses and improve the overall quality of life. GivePower has already powered 2,521 schools across 25 countries and impacted the lives of over 675,000 people. The organisation has been recognised as the winner of the Energy Globe Award and Global Water Award. In 2021, it was a finalist in Fast Company’s World-Changing Ideas Awards

Re-use Hawaiʻi

Re-use Hawaiʻi promotes sustainability by diverting building materials from the waste stream and repurposing them for community use. Reuse of materials directly decreases the island’s dependence on outside sources, which as a direct result, increases sustainability and community resiliency. It also lessens the demand for the production of new products, which reduces energy output and carbon emissions associated with material production. Since 2006, Re-use Hawaiʻi has completed more than 600 deconstruction projects throughout the state, from large-scale deconstruction of commercial structures to small remodel projects. Through their efforts, Re-use Hawaiʻi aims to promote resource conservation, create jobs and build a more resilient and sustainable community.

Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI)

RMI is an independent non-profit founded in 1982 that transforms global energy systems through market-driven solutions to align with a 1.5°C future and secure a clean, prosperous, zero-carbon future for all. RMI works in the world’s most critical geographies and engages businesses, policymakers, communities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to identify and scale energy system interventions that can cut greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030. RMI utilises the Procore platform for its Carbon-Free Buildings Initiative, which focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the building sector by advancing building design, construction and operation practices that reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. Through this initiative, RMI is helping to create a more sustainable built environment and mitigate the impact of climate change.
