Company Admins can now ensure greater consistency and accuracy in portfolio-level reporting with the new ability to make custom segments required when creating budget codes in the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). This functionality is now accessible to all company admins and can be applied both when adding and editing segments. With this update, admins can specify which custom segments must be included in every new budget code, helping standardize data entry across all projects.
When enabled, required segments are clearly marked in the Budget Code Creation modal, and users are prompted to complete these fields before proceeding. This ensures that all necessary information is captured at the point of entry, reducing errors and improving the quality of financial data. If the requirement is toggled off, new budget codes will no longer mandate the segment, offering flexibility as project needs evolve. This enhancement empowers admins to enforce data standards that drive more reliable and actionable reporting across their organization.
