Unified Viewer: Jump Between 2D Drawings and 3D Models in One Click

Feature Release1 July 2026

What it is: The Unified Viewer now supports bi-directional navigation between 2D drawings and 3D models. From a 2D drawing you can open the linked 3D model at the matching spatial position, and from the 3D model you can return to the linked 2D drawing centered on the equivalent area. Switching views preserves your prior position so returning either direction restores where you were. Who it's for: BIM coordinators, project engineers, and field supervisors in ANZ and UKI doing coordination reviews and field walkthroughs. Why it matters: You eliminate the most disruptive step in cross-referencing 2D and 3D context, manually re-orienting after every switch, so clashes and dimension callouts get validated and resolved faster with less reliance on memory. How to get started: Open a linked drawing or model in the Unified Viewer and use the navigation control to jump to the matching view. Launching July 31.
