Pin Issues and Observations on 2D Drawings

Procore’s 2D Unified Viewer (Web) now empowers users to spatially anchor Coordination Issues and Observations directly onto PDF documents. With the new "+ Place Item" pinning mode, you can easily link existing or create new items by placing a pin at a specific location on your drawing. This dedicated workflow ensures every issue or observation is tied to its exact x/y coordinate and page, making spatial context mandatory for these items. Interactive tooltips provide quick previews and detailed views, while automatic snapshots capture the drawing region around each pin for enhanced context (for Coordination Issues). A new filtering interface lets you toggle pin visibility by item type, status, or creator, streamlining your review process. By anchoring project data directly to its physical location, this update creates a single source of truth, improves traceability, and aligns with ISO 19650 standards. Now, critical project information is always context-aware, helping teams collaborate more efficiently and reducing the risk of fragmented or misplaced data.
