Launching March 17th. Procore now offers enhanced granular permissions for the Equipment tool, giving you greater control over who can perform specific actions within your projects. With this update, administrators can precisely manage user access to critical functions such as setting the ‘on site’ field, adding or removing equipment from a project, updating equipment status (on both web and mobile), and creating rented or subcontracted equipment from anywhere in the app. Additionally, users can now create owned or quick-create equipment types for project-specific needs, and view equipment on a map.
These new permissions empower field staff to efficiently update statuses, manage project check-ins, and record rentals, while ensuring that more sensitive actions—like creating owned equipment records—remain restricted to authorized personnel. This update helps organizations streamline equipment management, improve accountability, and maintain tighter control over sensitive data and actions.
