Support Services of Alaska was created in 2003 by Lee Holmes, PE to support Contractors, Architects, Engineers, and Owners throughout the construction process of a project. In 2006 Support Services of Alaska became part of The Superior Group, Inc. This has allowed Support Services of Alaska to expand in size and to continue to offer our personalized services while providing the backing and financial stability of a large multi-dimensional corporation. We are uniquely qualified for commissioning work as we are the only commissioning firm in Alaska. While several engineering firms provide commissioning services as a side business to their design services, we are a commissioning firm first and foremost. While we are engineers, we specialize in providing commissioning services throughout the state. This allows us to work with multiple design firms from all over the world on a wide variety of projects. Thus, we pull best practices from a broad spectrum of designers and contractors. Having this broad background of focused commissioning experience allows us to provide building owners with what they need for a successful project, well trained staff, and a fully functioning facility. We have successfully completed commissioning on over 200 commissioning projects in Alaska as independent third-party commissioning providers. We have taken projects from the inception stage through post occupancy commissioning and provided existing building commissioning on a variety of projects.
