Beta beginning April 21st. Procore is excited to announce the Open Beta launch of our redesigned Permissions user interface, now available via Procore Explore. This update delivers a modernized, more intuitive experience for managing permission templates, making it easier to configure, review, and understand user access across your organization.
The new interface maintains all existing permission data and configuration options, but introduces a refreshed workflow and several quality-of-life improvements. Notably, you’ll find a streamlined permissions template editor, a new landing page focused on project permissions, and a dedicated search bar for both project and company-level templates. Granular permissions are now alphabetized within each tool, and templates themselves are sorted for faster navigation.
In future updates, we will introduce the “rich” permissions experience for tools that have adopted the new backend. This comprehensive view displays all permissions data, groups permissions by category, and provides clear annotations for user access levels, platform support, and relevant notes—empowering you to make informed decisions about access control directly within the tool, reducing reliance on external support documentation. Additional improvements include a permissions template preview screen, updated workflows for configuring granular permissions, and a more consistent, scalable framework that will support future capabilities like conditional permissions and direct grants. These changes will help the permissions experience grow with your organization’s needs while providing greater transparency and clarity.
