Procore Launches New Drawing Management Tool

June 20, 2013

Procore users can now access the most current set of plans and drawings from the office or from their mobile devices using Procore mobile apps for iPad and iPhone.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Jun. 20, 2013 — Procore Technologies, Inc., provider of industry-leading, cloud-based construction project management software, is pleased to announce the addition of its new Drawing Management tool to the Procore suite of construction software tools. Procore's latest tool is the perfect complement to the Procore software package, providing the latest and most current set of drawings to all users whether in the office or on the road.

"We have incorporated some excellent functionality into this new tool that I know our users are going to love to use," explains Procore CEO Craig "Tooey" Courtemanche. "The Drawing Management tool keeps everything organized and easy to use through an unlimited amount of revisions and changes. You can even check to see who has seen your latest versions, so you'll know that everyone is on the same page. We're very excited to add the Drawing Management tool to the Procore suite."

Procore's new Drawing tool offers several time-saving functionalities that make the drawing and revision process go much smoother. Rather than having to manually split drawings into individual sheets, the Drawing tool takes care of this automatically. Users can also visually compare newer revisions against older ones to quickly see what has changed. And the Download Log allows contractors to verify who has downloaded the latest versions of the plans.

"The benefit of Procore's Drawing Tool is that it improves every other tool in the system. So, when we're sending out bid packages, or writing RFIs, we always have easy access to the most current set of drawings. Obviously that is much faster than having to go to a separate site or file structure to find the drawing," says Scott O'Brien, VDC Manager of Skanska Modular LLC.
