Procore's Project Images page is used to store electronic documents related to your specific project. Two features set Procore’s approach to project document storage apart from other construction project management software: unlimited storage and online availability with backup.
Unlimited storage means just what it sounds like - you can keep as many electronic documents as you’d like on Procore's construction software. Procore doesn't charge by the megabyte or gigabyte, so you don't have to worry about how many documents you're archiving. When you want to store your project documents, you can't be expected to only archive some of those items - you want to store all of the documents that are necessary for the project. Documentation is a critical part of construction project management, and not something that can or should be reduced according to an arbitrary storage limit.
Online availability means that unlike other construction software, Procore makes your electronic documents available to any member of your team that you give the correct permissions to. Those without permission won't see the documents, while team members with the proper authority will be able to upload, view and download project documents as needed. All those team members need to access those documents is a computer with Internet access. Procore’s online implementation of online construction project management software means that you won't have to worry about setting up servers or loading construction software onto individual users’ machines - you simply start using Procore, and we take care of the rest.
Procore differs from other construction project management software packages by automatically providing backup for all of your electronic documents on multiple server hard disks. This means that Procore keeps multiple copies of every file, on servers that are themselves located in different geographies. Your project documents are safe when they’re stored in Procore’s construction software.
Procore's Documents page can be used to store any type of digital media - ranging from PDF documents to Excel files to Word documents. Files can be categorized into directories, similar to the way in which Microsoft Windows allows categorization by folders. Files can be uploaded, downloaded, renamed or deleted, all within an interface that is familiar to any computer user.
Procore provides several different ways for electronic documents to be uploaded into the construction software. Files can be uploaded individually by going to the Documents page within Procore, or they can be emailed as attachments to a unique email address set up for each project. Files can be sent from any email system, including Blackberries or cell phones that have email access.
