Detail: Procore's Construction Project Management Software Photo Archive
Procore's Project Photo Archive tool is used to store and view digital photos related to a specific construction project. Two features set Procore's approach to project photo management apart from other construction project management software: unlimited storage and online availability with backup.
Unlimited storage means that Procore users can keep as many digital photos as desired on Procore's construction project management software application. Procore doesn't charge you by the megabyte or gigabyte, so Procore users don't have to worry about how many photos they're storing. When users want to store project photos, they can't be expected to only archive some of those photos. A construction project manager or superintendent should feel free to create and archive all the pictures that are necessary to document the progress of a construction project. Photo documentation is a critical part of construction project management, and not something that can or should be reduced according to an arbitrary storage limit.
Online availability means that unlike other construction software, Procore makes your digital photos available to any member of your team that you give the correct permissions to. Those without permission won't see the photos, while team members with the proper authority will be able to upload, view and download project photos as needed. All those team members need in order to view the photos is a computer with Internet access.
Procore differs from other construction project management software applications by automatically providing backup for all of a project's photos on multiple server hard drives. This means that Procore keeps multiple copies of every file, on multiple servers that are themselves situated in different geographic locations. Project photos are never safer than when they're placed in Procore's construction software.
Procore also provides several different ways for digital photos to be uploaded into the construction project management software application. Images can be uploaded individually by going to the Photos tool within Procore, or photo files can be emailed as attachments to a unique email address set up for each project. Photos can be sent from any email system, including cell phone cameras that have email access.
Procore also provides the optional feature of creating custom photo categories to help keep your images organized. Each digital photo can be placed into a specific category set up for that project in order to efficiently locate images.
